OGUN ASSEMBLY SCREENS STATUTORY COMMISSIONS' NOMINEES, HARPS ON IMPROVED QUALITY SERVICE DELIVERY

  


Ogun State House of Assembly has screened members of some statutory commissions, whose list was earlier transmitted to the Assembly by the State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, with an admonition to them to develop strategies that will add value and turn around the fortunes of the statutory commissions for improved service delivery for the State Public Service.


The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, gave the charge, while presiding over the screening of the nominees of the House of Assembly Service Commission, Local Government Service Commission, Teaching Service Commission and Judicial Service Commission at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.


He stated that their wealth of experience was needed to further drive the vision of the commissions, upon their clearance by the House and inauguration by the State Governor.


The Speaker implored them to align their duties with the ISEYA mantra of the Dapo Abiodun-led administration, commending the Governor for the qualities of nomination including former State Lawmakers and appointees who had previously served in various categories including statutory commission and Local Government as well as private practices.


He further admonished them to ensure sustained synergy between the statutory commissions and the State Legislature, while developing guidelines and policies that will reposition the public service for optimum performance.


In their respective remarks, the nominees, who spoke to their individual profiles, assured that they wouod contribute their quota, while discharging their responsibilities with integrity, loyalty and sincerity of purpose. 


It would be recalled that Governor Dapo Abiodun had earlier transmitted a correspondence announcing the appointment into the board of commissions including the Local Government Service Commission having Olubukunola Olivia Onabanjo as Chairman, while Hon. Lukman Olufemi Adiro, Martins Adekoyejo Ijaduoye, Olatunde Azeez Abiodun Osunbiyi and Olatunde Rasaki Rufai would serve as members.


For the State Teaching Service Commission, Apostle Abiodun Sanyaolu would serve as Chairman, while Olanrewaju Majekodunmi, Deola Akintonde, Hon. Adeleke Salmon ( Sonto), Hon. ( Mrs.) Atinuke Bello and Hon. Kemi Oduwole as members.


The State House of Assembly Service Commission has Rt. Hon. Suraj Ishola Adekunbi, as Chairman, while Samuel Ibidapo Odukoya, Alhaji Fasiu Ajadi and Hon. Folakemi J. Akintayo as members.


Also, the State Judicial Service Commission has Hon. Justice M. A. Dipeolu as Chairman, Hon. Justice Femi-Segun A. Olusola, Mr. Olusina Ogungbade, SAN Adeyemi Ademuyiwa,  Dr. Saheed Oyede and Adesola Ayoola- Elegbeji, as members.
