ABEOKUTA, OGUN STATE – April 5, 2025 – The Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is in mourning following the sudden passing of its State Publicity Secretary, Comrade Tunde Oladunjoye.
The announcement was made today by the State Chairman of the party, Chief Yemi Sanusi, who expressed deep sorrow and a sense of profound loss.
In a statement released, Chief Sanusi conveyed his heartfelt condolences, stating, "With total submission to the will of Almighty God, I announce the sudden departure of our State Publicity Secretary, Comrade Tunde Oladunjoye."
Recalling their initial acquaintance, Chief Sanusi noted, "I can recall that our paths crossed in 2018 when our party leadership appointed him, Mr Ayo Olubori and my humble self as Caretaker Committee for Ogun APC. Ever since then, I have known Tunde to be an irredentist, pragmatic and loyal party man who is ready to stretch himself beyond convenience threshold to achieve party's goal."
Chief Sanusi lauded the dedication and commitment of the late Publicity Secretary, emphasizing his role in safeguarding the party's image. "Tunde Oladunjoye as the image maker of our party, would not tolerate any stain on the image of the party and would promptly deploy his vibrant pen to set the records straight."
Highlighting Oladunjoye's unwavering dedication, the State Chairman stated, "He fought for the party and any course he so much believed in but unfortunately, he couldn't defeat death. No doubt he fought death to the end. His death is a great loss to APC, his family and Ogun State at large."
Chief Sanusi concluded his statement with prayers for the departed and for those left behind. "I pray that Almighty Allah grants him Aljanah Fridaus, blesses and prospers the family that he left behind and also fortifies our party leadership and followers from untimely death. Adieu Tunde."
The passing of Comrade Tunde Oladunjoye is expected to be felt deeply within the Ogun State APC and the wider political community.
