Ogun State House of Assembly Committee on Public Accounts and Anti-Corruption has considered the audit reports of the
State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (OG-RAAMP), Bureau of Information and Communication Technology, as well as the State Planning and Development Permit Authority with a directive to the management teams of the agencies to provide more supporting documents on their financial records.
The Committee Chairman, Hon. Damilare Bello who presided over the meeting in continuation of the consideration of the 2023 audit reports on the agencies at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, commended the agencies for delivering on their respective mandates and visions towards contributing to the development of the State.
Speaking to the financial records of the OG-RAAMP as jointly presented by the State Project Coordinator, Engr. Waheed Adejumo and the accountant, Mrs. Olusesi Erhunmwunse, the Committee Chairman directed that more explanations on some budget heads should be submitted to the House for further scrutiny.
The documents to be submitted included those containing the list of roads constructed in all local government areas in year 2020 captured under the advanced donor funds under raamp projects in 2021 and those roads and bridges constructed in the year 2023.
The House Committee while taking on the Bureau of ICT led by the Director of Administration and Supplies, Oladimeji Adekanbi, also lauded the Bureau for adhering to financial probity and transparency, while requesting that they should ensure the immediate submission of explanatory documents on fumigation exercise for the period under review.
Also, the Committee requested the Management of the State Planning and Development Permit Authority, led by the Acting Project Manager, TPL Itunu Jolaoluwa, to present documents relating to the official dealings of the agency with the State Property and Investment Corporation (OPIC) for the period under review.
