The Chairman Ogun State Civil Service Commission, Engr. Tokunbo Odebunmi has been described as a pace setter who is worthy of emulation for his gradual and steady attainments of success in life.

Alake and Paramount ruler of Egbaland, Oba Aremu Gbadebo, made this known during a breakfast meeting, organised by the celebrant to mark his 70th birthday Anniversary at his resident in Abeokuta.

The Monarch described the celebrant as a hardworking and determined individual who against all odds rise to the pinnacle of his career.

 "Engr. Tokunbo Odebunmi is an individual who is known for his commitment and hardworking, whatever feat he is able to achieve today in terms of success should be attributed to his determination to be successful in life, ‘’ he said.

Speaking, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Adijat Adeleye, appreciated the celebrant for his humanitarian gesture to the Special Children at Stella Obasanjo Motherless home which usually bring joy to the children, while urging other philanthropists to take a cue from him, noting that Government alone cannot do it.

Earlier in his exhortation, a Reverend from Owu Baptist Church, Dr. Josiah Adesope, said the celebrant should acknowledge God’s faithfulness in his life, saying, he had been showered with favour not because he merited it, but for God’s faithfulness.

In his vote of thanks, the celebrant appreciated God for making the day a reality, attributing all his achievements to kindness of God, while disclosing that he was nurtured and trained by a seasoned administrator, a former Head of Service, Mrs. Iyabo Odulate, for the effective service delivery in the service, noting that hard work and service delivery sustained him up to this level.

          Other dignitaries at the event were, High Chief Doja and Hon. Justice Yetunde Adewolu, Chief Mrs., Iyabo Obasanjo, CSC PS, Mr. Adesoji Adewunmi, PS, BPSR, Mr. Jola Oyeneye, Former PS, CSC, Mrs. Roseline Jacobs among others.
