SAGAMU LG TO COMPLETE TWO WORSHIP CENTERS

 




Sagamu Local Government (LG) has reiterated its commitment towards ensuring proper welfare and spiritual well-being of its staff by completing the construction of both Muslim and Christian worship centers which had been abandoned within the council secretariat.

The Chairman, Sagamu Local Government, Hon. Jubril Odulate, stated this at the council secretariat, Sagamu, during the 13th Annual Ramadan Lecture, organised by the Sagamu Local Government Staff Muslim Community.

“This is the first Ramadan Lecture I would be attending in this council and I would like to make it a memorable and remarkable one by ensuring the two worship centers are completed during my tenure and I want to implore members of staff to remain committed to duty to achieve the set goals", he said.

While commending the Muslim body for organising the Ramadan, the Chairman thanked the Guest Lecturer, Chief Imam of Makun land, Fadhilat Asheik (Dr.) Tajudeen Ashaye, for sharing his experience and gift with others, praying for God’s guidance, knowledge and understanding for him in all ramification.

Speaking, the Guest Lecturer, Fadhilat Asheik (Dr.) Ashaye, in his lecture titled, “Time", said time is very essential in everyone’s life, as opportunity once lost can never be regained, urging people to take advantage of every opportunity that comes their way very seriously and regard it as God’s time for them to achieve a feat.

Earlier, Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA), Alh. Balogun Olusola, appreciated Allah for making it possible to witness another Ramadan, saying Ramadan Lecture topic was apt as time and tide wait for no man.

He solicited the support of the Chairman, Sagamu Local Government for the completion of the abandoned Muslim worship center in the secretariat during his tenure.

Highlight of the event was presentation of award of excellence to some Muslim scholars, including Baba Adeen, which was given to the HOLGA, while Chairman, Muslim Community which was given to the Registrar, Alh. Jamiu Awoyemi, among others.
