In a bid to improve efficiency of workers, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Transportation in Ogun State, Mrs. Oluwabukola Aderonke Tokunbo-Peters, has advised Engineers in the Ministry on the need to engage themselves on regular in-house trainings.

Mrs. Tokunbo-Peters, in her maiden and familiarisation meeting with the management and staff of the Ministry of Transportation, at the Ministry's Conference Room, Oke- Mosan, Abeokuta, charged members of staff on the importance of regular in-house transfer of knowledge and experience, particularly from senior Engineers to subordinate and new officers.

While buttressing her point on training, she applauded the successful facilitation of international training of eight Engineers in the Ministry by the Commissioner, stating that it would go a long way in capacity building and efficiency of workers, as well as attain efficient, effective and sustainable mobility options in the State.

She implored members of staff on the need to be diligent  in their discharge of duties, in  loyalty to the developmental ISEYA Mantra of the  Government of Prince Dapo Abiodun CON, embrace  team work and strict adherence to Public Service Rules (PSR), She promised that the agency would ensure regular In-House training on the content of PSR.

Responding, the Director of Administration and Supplies, Mrs. Oluwakemi Somoye, appreciated the Permanent Secretary for sensitising staff on efficiency, while commending her patience in listening to the plights and needs of staff and emphasised the importance of signing the daily attendance and movement register.
