Permanent Secretary in Ogun State Ministry of Transportation, Mrs. Aderonke Tokunbo-Peters, has called for a sustainable collaboration among all the concerned stakeholders in transport sector towards advancing the State’s Strategic Transportation Master Plan (STMP) under the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun.
The Permanent Secretary made known while speaking during an inspection and familiarisation visit to project sites in Ilisan, Iperu, and other locations. She emphasised the importance of understanding ongoing transport initiatives and the need to fast track their implementations for the well-being of the state.
"It is a pleasure to witness the progress of the State's intermodal transport development projects. To contribute effectively to the administration's vision, it is essential to familiarise ourselves with ongoing projects and collaborate with key stakeholders," she stated.
Mrs. Tokunbo-Peters highlighted the need for synergy between the Ministry and its sister agencies, including the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), to ensure efficient and safe transport system across the State.
While commending the government’s efforts in infrastructure development, particularly the Gateway International Airport and the Gateway Aviation Estate in Iperu, which she described as transformational projects.
The Permanent Secretary reiterated her intention to continue site inspections as part of efforts to drive the State’s transport sector forward.
The Project Manager Gateway International Airport, Mr. Olutayo Ogini, assured the Permanent Secretary of delivering quality work in line with the State’s transportation agenda.
