The African Women Lawyers Association Nigeria, (AWLA) Ogun State Chapter in commemoration of the International Women's day has celebrated one of her own, the Deputy Clerk 1 of the State House of Assembly, ( Barr.) Mrs. Funmilayo Adeyemi, describing her as one of the State Amazons, who has distinguished herself as a Gender advocate and a strong supporter of the Association.
Confering the honour on Mrs. Adeyemi, in the presence of the State lawmakers led by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, the Coordinator of the State Chapter of AWLA Mrs. Oluwatoyin Sonoiki, noted that the Association recognized her role as an achiever, diligent civil servant and gender advocate, who deserved to be honoured as an Amazon having been a good ambassador of AWLA.
Congratulating the honouree, the Clerk/ Head of Legislative Service, Mr. Sakiru Adebakin, described the her as a committed, loyal and hardworking civil servant, who is worthy of the honour bestowed on her.
