The Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio as Appointed a Former Lawmaker in Ogun State, Hon Femi Allen-Taylor as a Senior Legislative Aide. 

The Appointment is with immediate effect from 1st January, 2025.

The Letter of the Appointment reads further; 

” I am directed to inform you that you have been offered a non-pensionable and short term appointment as a Senior Legislative Aide to the President of the Senate, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Sen. Godswill Obot Akpabio, CON on Salary Grade Level 14 Step 07 (N2,256,624.00 per annum) with effect from 1st January, 2025. You are also entitled to such allowance as applicable in Public Service.

2. Your appointment is at the pleasure of the President of the Senate, Federal Republic of Nigeria.

3. The President of the Senate may at any time for good cause, terminate your appointment by giving you one month’s notice in writing or by payment of one month salary in lieu of notice. You may also terminate your appointment by giving one month’s notice in writing or by paying one month salary in lieu of notice.

4. You will be required to inform this Office in writing whether or not you are prepared to accept this appointment within two months of the date of this letter, after which the offer would have lapsed.
