Permanent Secretary, Civil Service Commission, Mr. Adesoji Adewuyi has described punctuality and dedication to duty as key ingredients for efficient service delivery, capable of taking the Civil Service to the next level.
Adewuyi disclosed this, while charging the staffers in the course of familiarising with them, at the Commission's Conference room, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, saying that, being punctual and dedicated to duty would engender more possibilities to acquire more experience and knowledge that would help them discharge their duties effectively well.
"Punctuality and dedication are the ingredients needed to form efficiency in job delivery. Therefore, it will be paramount more than ever for Civil Servants to ensure that they are not only punctual but equally dedicated to their assigned duty,” he said.
The Permanent Secretary, therefore admonished the staffers to put in their best efforts to discharge their duties diligently at any point in time, noting that, lateness, hawking, leaving offices during working hours, as well as absenteeism without genuine reasons would not be condoned.
He assured the staff of robust welfare, saying every identified challenge raised by staffers would be effectively taken care of.
Speaking on behalf of the staffers, the Director of Planning, Research and Statistics, Mr. Femi Adenmosun, appreciated the Permanent Secretary for his enthusiasm to move the Commission to greater heights, saying that the staffers would be more productive and dedicated to work.
