Newly recruited junior officers in the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development have been charged to understand their job description and specifications to enable them attend to their duties efficiently and effectively.
Commissioner in the Ministry, TPL. Olatunji Odunlami gave the charge at the in-house training, organised for the Ministry’s new intakes, at the Valley View Auditorium, Government House, Isale Igbehin, Abeokuta.
With the theme, "Ensuring Excellent Performance in the Civil Service", participants were trained on necessary tools, skills and the Ogun Urban and Regional Planning and Development (OGURPD) Law 2022, to prepare them to navigate the challenges of public service effectively.
In her remarks, Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Establishment and Training, Mrs. Lydia Fajoumbo advised the participants to be conversant with Public Service rules, and the Scheme of Service to guide them.
On his part, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Engr. Sakirudeen Ayinde Salau, emphasised that the training was to expose the newly recruited junior officers to the rules, laws and regulations of the State.
Two of the participants, Mrs. Ronke Ogunmuyiwa and Mr. Olanrewaju Akinsola, expressed gratitude to Governor Dapo Abiodun and the management of the Ministry, saying the training was timely and excellent.
