... Doles Out Cash Gifts, 200 Bundles of Cloth, and Food Items
The House of Assembly member representing Ijebu North State Constituency II, Hon. Segun Kaka, has empowered over 500 widows in his constituency by providing them with cash gifts, 200 bundles of cloth, and food items.
The event took place at the Imososi Methodist Primary School in Ago-Iwoye.
According to reports from infopalavanews.com, more than 500 widows benefited from the generous donations.
In his address, Hon. Kaka expressed gratitude to his constituents for their love, support, and prayers.
"Today, I am here to celebrate with you. I want the widows in my constituency to be recognized. You supported me during the election, which led to my victory at the polls, and I have decided to give back to you," he stated.
He further acknowledged the emotional and financial struggles that widows face, saying, "The pain a woman endures when she loses her husband is one that is hard to fully understand unless experienced. That’s why I am providing these cash gifts and bundles of cloth to help support you during these challenging times."
Hon. Kaka also announced that a platform has been established for the widows to voice their concerns, ensuring that he stays informed about their needs and local issues.
Earlier, a prominent leader in the constituency, Alhaja Tola Agbeja, expressed her appreciation for Hon. Kaka’s kind gesture toward the widows in his constituency.
A beneficiary of the program, Mrs. Toyale Kehinde, expressed her gratitude, stating that this is the first time any politician has recognized the widows in the constituency. She further praised Hon. Kaka for his outstanding effort in taking care of them.
