ENSURE ACCREDITATION OF MORE PROGRAMMES-HoS CHARGES POLYTECHNIC



The Management Team of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta have been charged to maintain smooth running of the accredited programmes in the institution while ensuring more programmes are accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and other relevant bodies.


The Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya gave the charge when the team, led by the newly appointed Rector of the Institution, Arch. Adekoyejo Jolaoso, paid a courtesy visit to his office at Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.


He said that, all programmes run by the polytechnic were relevant to technological advancement of the State and the Nation at large and must be maintained to further etched it as a foremost Institution of reckoning.


 Onasanya revealed that, Ogun State is the education basket of the nation and first in terms of excellence, adding that MAPOLY as a foremost Institution must come up with initiatives, that would ensure the re - accreditation of some programmes.


HoS noted that, the Institution was known from inception as the training ground for entrepreneurial development, pointing out that it should continue to contribute to reducing the unemployment in the labour market.


Onasanya said the education development is pivotal in the ISEYA mantra of the present administration of Prince Dapo Abiodun, explaining that a major repositioning in terms of teaching, learning and infrastructural upgrade had taken place in the sector.


          Earlier in his remark, Arch. Jolaosho appreciated the government for his  appointment as the Rector, while he seized the opportunity to enumerate the achievements of the team within few weeks of his assumption to include; the provision of constant electricity in the campus, adequate water supply and lighting up of the environment with solar powered devices among others.


The Rector requested for government’s support in speeding up the re-accreditation of the lost programmes, while promising not to let the government down as the team would be more committed to the success and progress of the institution.
