The Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board (OGSMPWB) has announced that the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, through the National Hajj Commission, has disbursed the sum of Seventy Five Million, Six Hundred and Seventeen Thousand and Forty Naira (N75,617,040.00) as refund for services not fully rendered to pilgrims in Mina for 2023 hajj exercise.
According to the Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Taiwo Ajibola, a total of One Thousand, Two Hundred and Thirty Eight pilgrims (1,238) who participated in the 2023 Hajj will be refunded with the sum of Sixty One Thousand and Eighty Naira (N61,080.00) each. This refund is a result of the efforts of the National Hajj Commission and the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to ensure that pilgrims receive fair compensation for services not rendered.
To facilitate the refund process, affected pilgrims are required to come along with their international passport (original and photocopy) or any other means of identification to the Board’s office, at Block B, Governor’s office, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.
The refund collection will take place between Monday, 9th December and Thursday, 12th December, 2024.
Pilgrims are advised to take note of the refund collection dates and requirements.
