The Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. (Princess) Surah Animashaun was honoured as the Epe Division Community Annual Award (EDCCA) Female Ambassador of the Year 2024. 

This prestigious award recognizes her outstanding leadership and dedication to the development of Epe Local Government.

Receiving the award on her behalf by the Vice-Chairman, Hon. Sikiru Owolomoshe, and the Secretary to the Epe Local Government, Hon. Rahmon Saheed Olalekan, Hon. Animashaun expressed her gratitude for the award, stating, "I am humbled to receive this recognition. It reflects the hard work and commitment of our team, and I am proud to serve the people of Epe."

As the first female local government chairman elected in the region, Hon. Animashaun has shown exceptional commitment to public service, adding that her administration has achieved numerous milestones, including advancements in infrastructure, healthcare delivery, and women's empowerment.

The EDCAA Epe Division Female Ambassador of the Year award highlights Hon. Animashaun's tireless efforts to foster positive change in Epe. Her vision for a more vibrant, inclusive, and prosperous community has inspired countless residents and stakeholders.

The EDCAA Epe Division Female Ambassador of the Year award is the latest in a series of honours received by Hon. Animashaun as she was previously recognized as the Best Performing Female Council Chairman in Lagos State at the YOMAFA Global Awards 2024.
