EGBE DEGBUYI REMO FELICITATES AKARIGBO, ROYAL FATHERS, AND REMO INDIGENES ON MAIDEN REMO DAY CELEBRATION

Egbe Degbuyi Remo a foremost socio-cultural age-grade group in Remoland has send its warmest felicitations to the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Babatunde Adewale AJAYI (Torungbuwa II), and all Remo royal fathers and indigenes on the celebration of the maiden edition of Remo Day.

 


The week-long event, with the Grand Finale holding on Friday, 27th December 2024, is to celebrate the rich socio-cultural heritage, vibrant spirit, and oneness of the Remo people. 



The Egbe Degbuyi Remo, in its message of felicitations signed by the Giwa Egbe, Gbuyi Saheed Olawale OLOYEDE, on behalf of the Giwa-in-Council, Executive, and entire members, and made available to the press by the Public Relations Officer, Gbuyi Omoba Yinka OKUNOREN, felicitates the Akarigbo, Oba Babatunde Adewale AJAYI, Remo royal fathers and entire sons and daughters of Remoland on the celebration of the inaugural edition of Remo Day.



"On behalf of the Giwa-in-Council, comprising the Otun Giwa Egbe, Gbuyi (Dr.) Ariyo ABIJO and Osi Giwa, Gbuyi (Engr.) Ismail BALOGUN; the Executive Council; and entire members of Egbe Degbuyi Remo; i felicitate your royal majesty, all our traditional rulers, including our patrons, and the good people of Remoland, on this auspicious occasion which brings together all Remo indigenes and communities in a friendly atmosphere, the celebration that underscores the importance of unity and collaboration in achieving our collective goals," said Giwa Saheed OLOYEDE.



He commended the organizers and participants for their dedication in working towards having a successful celebration.

He also expressed his immense gratitude to all members of the group for their cooperation and support.



"Egbe Degbuyi Remo is proud to be a part of Remo's journey towards progress and unity. We are committed to supporting initiatives that foster development and celebrate our shared heritage," the statement further said.



"Egbe Degbuyi Remo looks forward to a continued collaboration with the Remo community in future endeavours aimed at promoting progress and development within the zone. 

We wish the Akarigbo, all Remo monarchs and indigenes, both at home and in the diaspora, a continued success and pray for peace, progress, and prosperity in Remoland," concluded, OLOYEDE.
