Dignitaries, Royal Fathers Grace the Exquisite Solemnization of Oluwatomisin Ipaye and David Goma

 



In a celebration marked by grandeur and cultural elegance, the families of Oluwatomisin Ipaye and David Goma hosted their wedding at the prestigious Balmoral Convention Centre, Sheraton Hotel, Lagos. The event brought together dignitaries, royal fathers, and esteemed personalities from various spheres of life, making it a spectacular display of unity, tradition, and modernity.


The day began with a solemn matrimonial service officiated by senior pastors from the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). The clerics emphasized the virtues of love, tolerance, and understanding as foundational pillars of a successful marriage. This was followed by a traditional engagement ceremony that showcased the rich cultural heritage of both families, highlighting the union of the Ipaye and Goma clans.


The reception, chaired by Dr. Tunji Alausa, Honorable Minister of Education, was graced by Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State. Other prominent dignitaries included Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, Deputy Governor of Ogun State; Dr. Isiaq Kunle Salako, Minister of State for Health; Dr. Mrs. Temitope Ilori, Director General of NACA; Dr. Leo Zekeng, UNAIDS Country Director; Dr. Chuks Anyaike, Director of Public Health, FMOH; and Dr. Aliu Gambo, former DG of NACA.


Notable political and business figures also attended, including Otunba Bimbo Ashiru, Chairman of Odu’a Investment; Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, Secretary to the Ogun State Government; Senator Lekan Mustapha; former Minister Senator Olorunnimbe Mamora; and Sharafa Tunji Ishola, former Nigerian Ambassador to the UK. The event also featured political leaders such as Rep. Joseph Folorunsho Adegbesan, Rep. Barr. Ogunbanwo Adefemi, Hon. Abiodun Akinlade, Dr. Tomi Coker, Hon. Commissioner for Health in Ogun State, Hon. Ademola Balogun (Klass), Hon. Otunba Olaide Oshifeso, and others. The congregation was further enriched by distinguished guests, including Giwa Sunday Osifeso, Mr. Bolaji Odusanya, and Otunba Bayo Ogunbanjo and a host of others.


The royal presence was equally remarkable. The Orimolusi of Ijebu Igbo, Oba Lawrence Jayeoba Adebajo, led a delegation of monarchs from Ijebu Igbo, including the Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, Torungbuwa II. Representing the Awujale of Ijebuland was the Olori, who added a touch of regal splendor to the occasion, underscoring its significance.


This remarkable union was more than a matrimonial celebration; it was a cultural and social convergence that blended tradition with modern sophistication. The event was a day of joy, laughter, and cherished memories, leaving an indelible mark on all attendees and solidifying its place as a landmark societal occasion of the year.
