Ogun State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Oluwasesan Fagbayi, has assured the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) of its continuous support.
The Commissioner gave the assurance while playing host to the executives of TAMPAN led by its Global President, Mr. Bolaji Amusan, in his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, commending them for planning towards a successful Night of Tribute for late Charles Olumo scheduled to hold on February 25, 2025.
Hon. Fagbayi, noted that a Night of Tribute for the late icon was a welcome development, assuring them of the Ministry's continuous support towards the success of the event. He said, Dapo Abiodun led government was passionate about the welfare of the entertainment industry, disclosing that the Governor would still launch film village for the sector, while appreciating the President for his resilience at all times.
The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Dr. Yusuff Quduus, commended TAMPAN for coming up with a night of tribute for late icon, maintaining that, he was an energetic actor, who had represented the state well with his acting profession.
In his reaction, TAMPAN, Global President, Mr. Bolaji Amusan, assured government of a well-organised programme for the late artist, saying that, Governor’s visit to the Artists would go a long way in inspiring them.
