Commendation, As Ogun Lawmaker, IWA Feeds Over 500 People In Abeokuta South LG

 



A House of Assembly Member,  representing Abeokuta South State Constituency 11, Ogun State,  Hon. Igbalaye Wasiu Ayodele,  popularly known as IWA has  again put smiles on  the faces of over 500 people within his constituency by  donating food items worth millions of naira 




The beneficiaries were elderly,  widows, disabled, less privileged and orphans




The initiative tagged "Ounje IWA" is in fulfillment of Hon. IWA' s promise made to his constituents.




 This initiative has brought joy and relief to many  families in Abeokuta South State Constituency 2.




The distribution of food items cut across all the wards under Abeokuta South State Constituency 2,  which are ward 8, 9, 10, 11 and 15.



 



Food items which were rice, indomie, vegetable oil, salt,   maggi and garri were distributed to constituents at their different wards.




The lawmaker while speaking with newsmen said that initiative was part of his promise made to his constituents which he has fulfilled.


He also said it was his way of giving back to the constituents who gave him the mandate to represent them.


He assured his constituents that the program will not stop, saying that the program will come up every three months.


He added  that the kind gesture will help to alleviate the suffering of many who could not afford to feed themselves




He said "It is my own little way of giving back to my community and I want to assure them that this will continue and this is just a way to give back to them. I cherish my people, I love them and I will not disappoint them.




Speaking during the program a beneficiary of IWA's kind gesture, Mrs Abiodun extolled IWA's  kind virtues and prayed for the lawmaker.


She said: “We really appreciate this kind gesture and we also pray God grants our amiable lawmaker his heart desires, because he is making us happy all the time.


Other beneficiaries of  "Ounje IWA" described it as a rare gesture, saying that it came when people needed it .
