Why Surah Animashaun Deserves Second Term, SA Media

The Special Adviser to the Epe Local Government Chairperson, Mr. Ibrahim Balogun has said that the Chairman of the Council,  Ms. Surah Animashaun deserved re-election for her giant strides in the socio-economic, security, well-being and infrastructural development of the local government.

Balogun said Animashaun’s all-inclusive policy has engendered massive turn-around of the council through provision of goods roads, proactive health institutions, security, schools in all parts of the local government in the last 40 months of her government.

He said: ‘’Chairperson, Surah Animashaun deserves another term in office because her achievements are visible to Epe residents. She has been able to touch all facets of development through her all-inclusive policy. She has been able to reduce insecurity in the council through provision of multi-million naira equipment including vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles, boats for security.

‘’In Epe Local Government Area where I leave, the Chairman has built almost 20 access good roads including some palliatives to link roads. Apart from that, many public schools had been built and rehabilitated in the council area. One of them is Army Junior High School, Epe, Lagos State.”

He disclosed that the people of the council area are solidly behind the Chairman in her re-election bid, noting that Animashaun would overwhelmingly defeat her opponents at the 2025 local government elections poll.

"Indeed, she has done so well, I don’t think people should hesitate to support her coming back as Chairman of the Council, she has done so well from infrastructure to health, to security and housing which are the major hurdle in government policy, if you look at Epe today, all the rural areas, especially riverine areas has been developed during her tenure; so I think we don’t need to think, we should give Animashaun a second term."
