No fewer than 700 residents of Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun state have received free healthcare services, towards improving their well-being.

 Speaking during the 2024 medical outreach organised by a member, representing Remo Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Oriyomi Onanuga, in collaboration with National Primary Healthcare Development Agency, at Sagamu Townhall, the Honourable, said it was crucial to build a healthy and prosperous society.

Hon. Onanuga, represented by a party leader in Sagamu Local Government, Alhaji Samsideen Sanni, stated that the outreach was a yearly programme, put in place to give free medical checkup and treatment to downtrodden, who could not afford to pay for treatment of minor ailments, among others, admonishing residents to take proper care of their health and ensure that they take their medications regularly as prescribed by the doctors.

On his part, Medical Director, Gosima Group International, Dr. Femi Ajetumobi, pointed out that the free medical outreach covers services such as, checkup for high blood pressure, blood sugar screening and counselling for HIV/AIDS, eye, ear, teeth and many more, as well as distribution of medications, eye glasses and free surgery.

 Contributing, a member of the medical team, Prince Adebola Adejumo, commended Hon. Oriyomi for initiating a life-saving outreach, lauding the state government for its health insurance scheme, to allow people have access to affordable healthcare services.

Responding, two of the beneficiaries, Mmes. Bolanle Oduwaye and Tosin Ogunbiyi, appreciated the organisers, saying the kind gesture would go a long way in improving their health status.
