Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board (OGMPWB), has implored intending pilgrims for 2025 Hajj to hasten their initial deposits, to avail them the opportunity of securing hajj seats, which is on ‘’first come, first served’’ basis.

 Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Taiwo Ajibola, made the call during a sensitisaton programme at Jumaat Services in Ijebu-Ode and its environs, in preparation for 2025 Hajj operation, noting that the payment was part of modalities for pilgrimage to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 Alhaji Ajibola reiterated that payment of initial deposit of N8.500,000, in not more than three installments, has commenced, pending the announcement of final hajj fare by National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

 According to the Executive Secretary, ‘’the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Saudi Arabia has pronounced Wednesday, 19 February, 2025 for the commencement of  issuance of visa, which will end on Friday, 18 April, 2025. It is important to let you know that visa can only be issued if initial deposit had been completed’’.

He also informed prospective pilgrims to visit the Board’s Office, Block B, New Secretariat Complex, Governor's Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, for further Information.
