Tricycle owners and riders Association of Nigeria TORAN have re-elected prince Agunbiade Abduwassi popularly known as Yayi Agbara for another term of four years.

Agunbiade who was once appointed by Ogun state Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR CON as the caretaker Chairman of the union between 2019 to 2020, was elected for the first term as Chairman of the union between November 2020 and November 2024.

Agunbiade sets the record for the first time as the first Chairman to be elected twice since the creation of the union in 2011.

The election which was held at the TORAN state secretariat family pharmacy building saje Abeokuta on Tuesday, 26th of november 2024 was witnessed by the pioneer Chairman of the union Comr Kamorudeen Busari who doubles as the board of trustee Chairman BOT of the union.

Yayi Agbara emerged unopposed as the union Chairman for another four years term as the the second term begins according to the constitution of the union.

while presenting the certificate to Agunbiade, the BOT Chairman affirmed that Agunbidade has done well for the welfare of the members of the executive and the riders at large.

He reaffirmed his loyalty to the state governor prince Dr Dapo Abiodun MFR CON for creating an enabling enviroment for the union, assuring him of the union support at all times.

Comr Gbenga Ogunwale, the newly elected TORAN state vice chairman who gave the vote of thanks, appreciated the state Chairman for being a listening chairman and for enabling environment created for the members of the union to succeed in thier various field.
