Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC), has released the names of successful Councillors into the 236 wards of the state, at the just concluded elections, while presenting their Certificate of Return.

Chairman of OGSIEC, Mr. Babatunde Osibodu, during the presentation of the certificate at the Commission’s Headquarters, Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta, congratulated the newly elected Councillors, urging them to meet the expectations of the people who voted them in, and deliver dividends of democracy.

The Chairman, represented by one of the Commissioners in the Commission, Gbemi Onasanya, charged the Councillors not to mock their opponents who lost out during the election but extend a hand of fellowship to them, saying, ‘’it is only in a peaceful atmosphere that development can thrive’’.

He implored them to cooperate with their Chairmen to foster peaceful co- existence and unity.
