Monarch and residents of Ifo Local Government Area of the state, have applauded the present administration for the reconstruction of Ojodu Abiodun-Denro-Ishasi-Akute road.

          Speaking with newsmen, during the commissioning of the road, the Olojodu of Ojodu, Oba Samuel Benson commended the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration for its effort at improving road infrastructure.

          The Monarch noted that reconstruction of the road would enhance economic activities and overall quality of life of residents.

          In his submission, a business owner in the area, Dr. Adekunle Adelakun, who lauded the intervention, said the road would attract investors to the area, thereby increasing Internally Generated Revenue of both Ogun and Lagos states.

          Contributing, a Tricycle Rider, Mrs. Adenike Onabolu, posited that road would ease vehicular movement, as well as reduce crashes to barest minimal.

          Chunedu John, a trader, gave kudos to the state government for the giant strides, soliciting for continuous road construction and rehabilitation across the state.

          In the same vein, Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Ade Akinsanya noted that the road was awarded with the vision of enhancing connectivity, promoting economic growth and improving access to essential services for the residents, highlighting some of the features of the road to include, 1mx 1m lined drain on both side of the road to convey the run off and flood water from the carriage, culvert of various sizes and functional drainage system.

          Akinsanya added that due to the road nearness to Lagos, it would offer better transportation facilities to the residents plying the route thus boosting agricultural productivity and promoting socio-economic development, among others.
