The Daramola Dynasty Foundation proudly extended life-changing support to the Ogun State community during this year’s Afotamodi Day celebration. The Foundation’s outreach efforts provided food relief to over 3,000 families, essential healthcare services to 500 beneficiaries, and enriched countless lives across Isara-Remo. Rooted in compassion and commitment, this initiative combined cultural celebration with a powerful community mission.
The Foundation’s initiative, not only marked a cultural celebration but also highlighted a strong mission to uplift the community.
During the event, skilled medical professionals and dedicated volunteers offered comprehensive health services, including blood pressure, blood sugar, and vision screenings, along with free health counseling. In a notable impact, over 20 cataract surgeries were scheduled to restore sight for residents who have long struggled with impaired vision. The food support provided much-needed relief to families, with many describing the outreach as “unforgettable” and “transformative.”
"Today, we didn’t just serve meals or provide medicine; we offered hope and solidarity," said the Foundation’s founder, *Engr. Olanrewaju Daramola*. "Each moment underscored the importance of uplifting one another to build a healthier, more resilient future for our community."
Beneficiaries shared heartfelt stories, with a grandmother from Iperu ward tearfully expressing gratitude for her restored vision from the cataract surgery saying, “For years, I prayed for a chance to see my family’s faces clearly again. Today, because of the Foundation, I am blessed to see my grandchildren’s smiles once more.”
Another beneficiary, a young mother from Ilisan ward expressed, “This outreach means everything to us. Feeding my children has been a daily struggle, and knowing there are people who care fills my heart with hope, especially this Christmas season.”
Key partnerships strengthened the outreach, including UAC Foods for the Food Bank Drive and Eye Foundation Hospital and Federal Medical Centre, Isara, for the medical services.
Additionally, through the Daramola Dynasty Foundation ProSkills Accelerator program in October 2024, the Foundation awarded a One Million Naira (N1,000,000) grant to five promising businesses. This grant, aimed at empowering local youth and entrepreneurs, empowers youth and local entrepreneurs with skills in five professional development track ranging from cyber security, product/content marketing, fashion design, agriculture/livestock farming, and digital asset trading. Selected recipients expressed their gratitude, sharing that the funding will enable them to further community development through their businesses.
