The party chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abeokuta South Local Government, Ogun State Hon. Henry Fagbenro has declared that the local government was fully ready for the upcoming Local Government Elections which is scheduled to come up in November 16, 2024.
Fagbenro made this known during the inauguration of the Campaign Council held at the party Secretariat in Oke-Ejigbo, Abeokuta on Wednesday.
The party chairman said that the party in Abeokuta South will campaign vigorously for the victory of the all the APC candidates at the polls.
"We are fully ready for the upcoming Local Government Elections which will come up in November 16 , we are going to campaign with our full energy and I want assure everyone that we will win the election fairly and squarely."
The inauguration ceremony, which was held at APC LG Secretariat in Oke-Ejigbo, Abeokuta witnessed the introduction of key officials, who ould lead the party’s campaign efforts in the upcoming elections.
The newly inaugurated Campaign Council is chaired by the Chairmanship candidate, Hon. BALOGUN AFEEZ who is the Chairman of the campaign, while PRINCE ADENIYI EDUN is the Director General of the campaign. ALHAJI AZEEZ OLAWALE (WILLY KAY), is the Deputy Director, the Asistants Deputy Directors are HON. OMOLAJA MAJEKODUNMI, HON. AYO SOMIDE, HON. AKAMO SUNDAY, ODETAYO BOLA, BAR. KEHINDE AYODEJI, OKANLAWON ANTHONY, TUNDE DELU, HON. YINKA ADEGUN, FEMI SOKEYE, MUIZ OMITOGUN HON. TAIWO KILANI, MR. AYINDE SEMIU and FOLAWOLE SEUN, The VICE DEPUTY DIRECTOR are DR. OLOLADE KEHINDE, HON. OLALEKAN KAYODE, the CHIEF COORDINATOR, Hon. AKINTUNDE FAROUK, the ASSISTANT CHIEF COORDINATOR is CHIEF ABIDEMI LAWAL (MAYEGUN), the SECRETARY, ADEBAYO ADENEKAN, the DEPUTY SECRETARY,SOWUNMI OLANREWAJU, IN HOUSE SECRETARY, ADENUGA NURUDEEN, CONSTITUENCY COORDINATOR, HON. The event was graced by prominent APC leaders in the local government , Hon. Majekodunmi, the APC Senatorial chairman, Chief Showunmi, Chief Lemboye, Alhaji Farouq Akintunde, former council chairman, Ologbowon the federal commissioner RMAFC in the State, Hon. Akeem Amosun and other political leaders.
Also in attendance were all the chairmanship aspirants, ward chairmen and nine APC councilorship candidates
Additionally, political appointees from the State Government, as well as distinguished party members, were present to show their support.
In his address, the APC local government party Chairman , Hon. Henry Fagbenro expressed his unwavering confidence that the APC will secure a resounding victory in the upcoming election.
He said that party is fully ready to embark on serious campaign as to ensure victory at the polls.
He charged all the ward chairmen to work hard in consonance with leaders and stakeholders to ensure landslide victory in all the wards.
Fagbenro attributed his optimism to the exemplary performance of the Continuity and Consolidation administration led by His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun and the overwhelming acceptance of the party within the state.
He also emphasized the grassroots popularity of the party’s candidates as a significant factor that will contribute to the party’s success in the council poll.
Fagbenro charged all the campaign committee members to ensure they work tirelessly for the victory of the candidates in the upcoming elections
He added that the sub- committee will have a meeting tomorrow.
The Senatorial chairman, Chief Showunmi in his speech asked the committee members to unite and joined hands together to ensure victory at the polls.
He also urged the party members to do everything within their powers to mobilise votes for all APC Candidates in the upcoming local government elections.
Also the Chairman of SUBEB in Ogun State, Chief Majekodunmi boasted that with the inauguration of the committee APC remain the party to beat in Abeokuta South in the November 16 LG poll.
He charged the Campaign Council to ensure victory for all party candidates come November 16, 2024.
