A House of Representatives Member,  representing Abeokuta North/ Obafemi Owode /Odeda Federal Constituency,  Hon. Olumide Osoba has announced his intention to install solar street lights in strategic locations in the three local governments.

The solar lights will also be extended to villages and communities in his constituency.

Olumide Osoba disclosed that the project became necessary to illuminate the streets especially at nights.

According to him, the visionary project demonstrates his commitment to constituent engagement, responsive governance, and sustainable development. By harnessing solar energy.

He maintained that the street lights will

enhance safety and security, boost economic activities,  Increase community interaction and provide environmental benefits

The areas that will benefit are

- Abeokuta North LGA:

- Abule Otun & Sabo Lafenwa Ward 

- Abule Olomore, Olomore/Ita-Oshin ward

- Opara, Ibara-Orile/Onisasa Ward

- Oke Asela, Iberekodo Ward

Obafemi-Owode LGA:

- Oba Eerin, Oba Ward 

- Layanran village, Olibori village, Ajebo Ward 

- Itoku-Ande Village and Osoba Village, Ajura Ward

Odeda LGA:

- American Junction CDC, Obantoko Ward 

- Oluga Village, Arewa/Apena/Araromi Odeda Ward 

- Papa Oja, Itesi Ward Gbagba, Osiele Ward
