Ogun State House of Assembly has called on the officials of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), to step up measures towards addressing the deteriorating condition of Abeokuta-Ibadan road, among other federal roads in the state.

 Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, made the call during a plenary at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, emphasising the need for FERMA through its Comptroller of Works, to complement the state government's efforts in the provision road infrastructure by carrying out necessary palliative works to ease human and vehicular movements.

Rt. Hon. Elemide expressed concern over the previous palliative works by FERMA, which lasted for a season, advising the agency to carry out extensive works on the failed portions of some of the federal roads for the benefit of motorists and commuters.
