Despite fiscal constraints, the present administration, led by Prince Dapo Abiodun, will continue to focus on inclusive governance by ensuring that projects and policies align with the needs of the people.
This was made known by the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun,
during the Town Hall meeting on the 2025-2027 Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and 2025 Budget, at Remo Royal Event Centre, Akarigbo's Palace, Ita Oba, Sagamu.
Governor Biodun, represented by the Chief Economic Adviser and Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Dapo Okubadejo, stated that residents had expressed satisfaction with government's efforts at prioritising public inputs in shaping the 2025-2027 Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and the 2025 Budget.
"The government is paying serious attention to the security of lives and propertY, which is why there is relative peace in Ogun State. We will continue to improve on the funding and partnership with the security agencies in the state, not only to support them with transport and logistics but also with funding to carry out all their security operations. Be rest assured that your feedback will be considered comprehensively in the 2025 Budget preparation process", he said.
Contributing, Paramount Ruler and Akarigbo of Remo land, Oba Babatunde Ajayi, represented by the Oniraniken of Iraniken, Oba (Dr.) Adewale Adeniji, expressed appreciation to the state government for inclusive governance and involving citizens in the planning and budgeting process, acknowledging the results that had manifested from previous town hall discussions.
On his part, Chairman of Ilisan Security Council, Chief Adepegba Otemolu, praised the state government for its strides in infrastructure development across Remo Division, particularly the construction of the Gateway International Airport and the aerotropolis, urging it to boost security of these monumental projects.
Responding on behalf of the market women, Iyaloja of Sagamu Local Government, Chief (Mrs.) Olasonde Oduwaye, appreciated the governor for his empowerment programmes for Micro and Small Medium Enterprises, such as "Oko'wo Dapo" and NGCares, which helped their businesses to grow.
"We are immensely delighted with our Governor's achievements in ensuring the citizens of Ogun State receive the best. We see your remarkable work across the state and believe that even greater accomplishments are in the horizon", she said.
