The Epe Local Government, in conjunction with the Health District 3 has organized a medical outreach programme for residents within the riverine area in the council.
The Chairman, Ms. Surah Animashaun stated that the free medical outreach is aimed at giving back to the riverine communities whereby they can be able to access sustainable and quality healthcare.
The medical services offered during the outreach include dental care, optometric care, high blood pressure test, blood group test, and general consultation.
Chairperson emphasised that the free medical outreach services are in continuation efforts of the present administration to increase access to healthcare services and complement the existing basic healthcare service provision at the community visited.
The Medical Officer of Health in Epe LGA, Dr. Awolesi Adeleke noted that free medical outreach intervention is a testament to the Ms. Surah Animashaun's unwavering commitment towards accessible, quality and sustainable healthcare, thus what she has been doing through the PHCs in the LGA.
Among the beneficiaries, Mr. Kola Awolani and Mrs. Iyabode Akinboro expressed joy over the free medical services rendered, recounting how much it would have cost them if monetary value was attached to each of the services.
