Hon. Adebukanla Jamiu Kolawole, the All Progressive Congress (APC) councilorship candidate for Ward 4, Ijebu ode Local Government has successfully drawn over 300 constituents from his ward to participate in the Ogun State Economic Transformation Project (OGSTEP).
This initiative, backed by the World Bank, aims to support economic growth and development for farmers in Ogun State.
Speaking with Newsmen at itoro, in Ijebu-ode during the training and documentation of the program’s beneficiaries, Hon. Adebukanla emphasized his commitment to ensuring that his constituents benefit from OGSTEP saying he has proactively informed them about the project's advantages, eligibility criteria, and application processes.
"This project is a World Bank initiative designed to assist our people at the grassroots level. I’m proud to have attracted over 300 constituents to benefit from it," he stated. "We will facilitate training for farmers on cultivating crops such as cassava and maize. I urge everyone to take advantage of this program to enhance their economic growth."
Mr. Bernard Siwoku, a facilitator for the cassava cultivation training, noted the importance of conducting soil tests before farming.
Beneficiaries of the program, Salami Olamilekan and Funmbi Ogunade, expressed their gratitude, stating that the project will significantly contribute to economic growth in the community.
