Founder and coordinator of OGD Progressive Groomer (OPG) and Ogun Progressive People (OPP), Olola Faith Daniel, has accused the media and some people of giving wrong interpretation to what he said in a story titled, “A Blood Brother’s Plea: Calling on Otunba Gbenga Daniel (OGD) to Soft-Pedal and a Public Outcry to Address Misconceptions, Political Fallout, and Safeguarding Our Future.”
Faith Daniel who said it was necessary to clarify the story published by the media last September 21, explained that his original public statement was never intended to wrongfully accuse his elder brothers, His Excellency Otunba Gbenga Daniel, and Adeoye Daniel.
The founder OPG and OPP, explain further “The Every other rephrasing of my public statement, using different narratives and headlines before attaching my original public statement to their illustrations does not represent my statement, as I do not have the power over other people’s opinion. But, I urge the general public not to further misinterpret my statement beyond the original concerns outlined in it.
“The purpose of my open-letter was to publicly address and correct the wrongful accusations I have faced till this current moment. The backlash I experienced, especially in business and personal relationships, prompted me to speak out. Some associates who were also involved in my group activities during the last election have also faced similar challenges.
” This is why I felt it was necessary to clear up the false accusations that I, or the groups I’m associated with, acted against the Ogun All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 elections.
“Further claims suggested that I lured members into supporting our cause and then abandoned them after the election, or that I am benefiting from contracts or opportunities without acknowledging their contributions.
“These accusations are entirely unfounded and deeply concerning, which is why I felt compelled to clarify the situation.
“I also believe that the political divide between my elder brothers, OGD and Adeoye Daniel, with Adeoye’s current affiliation with the PDP, may have contributed to these public misconceptions.
“My public statement was an attempt to address this divide, asking for public plea, in the hope that my elders may reach a consensus, including Adeoye’s possible exit from the PDP. The political rift is negatively creating several wrong narratives that are affecting me personally, as well as others.
“Most of my associates in the country are with the All Progressives Congress (APC), and I have consistently, and will continue to distance myself and my groups from any other party affiliation.
“I sincerely once again plea, and hope that my elders will be able to reach a consensus to resolve this matter.”
