Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE), has warned vehicle owners, who park haphazardly on roads to desist, to ensure free flow of vehicles on roads.
Chief Executive Officer, Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE), Commander, Olaseni Ogunyemi, gave the warning in Abeokuta during an interview with the journalists, at TRACE headquarters, old OGTV Complex, Ajebo Road, Abeokuta.
Commander Ogunyemi said it was observed from the agency records that most road accidents across the state were caused by haphazard and illegal parking, adding that the agency could no longer condone the careless attitude of such vehicle owners.
"It is either an oncoming vehicle driven by a careless driver rammed into a vehicle parked on the road, leading to terrible accidents or such vehicle blocking other road users, leading to traffic bottlenecks, causing loss of lives and property. Enough is enough", he said.
TRACE boss revealed that as a traffic regulatory agency, he had directed all Divisional Commanders in the agency to remove all vehicles that were parked illegally and obstructing free flow of traffic.
