The Senate has announced a fresh date for the resumption of plenary sessions, following a brief recess.
The upper chamber has rescheduled its resumption from September 17 to September 24, 2024, at 11:00 am.
According to an internal memorandum issued by the Clerk of the Senate, Chinedu Akubueze, on the directive of the Senate Leadership, the new date is aimed at allowing Senators to return refreshed and ready to tackle the nation’s pressing issues.
The memorandum, titled “Change in Resumption Date from Summer Break,” informed Senators of the change in plans.
It reads, “Dear Distinguished Senators, I hope this memo finds you well. Please be informed that the resumption date from the ongoing recess has been rescheduled from Tuesday, September 17, 2024, to Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 11:00 am.”
