The Oduba Descendants of Omo-Oba Abraham Oduba, grandson of Oba Adesimbo Tunwase I (Awujale 1886-1895) from the Tunwase Royal Family of the Funsegbuwa Ruling House, have constructed a shopping mall at their ancestral home in Itantebo, Ijebu Ode.

This newsplatform report that the Oduba Descendants ade are entitled to the Awujale of Ijebuland throne, the Shopping Mall Named the Oduba Shopping Arcade, the mall is built on the site of the former palace of Oba Adesimbo Tunwase I during his reign as Awujale of Ijebuland.

At the event, Mr. Busuyi Aina Onabolu, the Olori Ebi of the Oduba Descendants Union, remarked that this gathering represents more than just a reunion; it signifies the unfolding of a significant legacy.

"We are witnessing a story that began long ago, coming to life in our time. It is our responsibility as direct descendants of Adesimbo Aboki Tunwase I, Awujale of Ijebuland (1885-1896), to contribute to our ancestry's narrative and envision how that story will read a century from now," he stated.

Onabolu emphasized the importance of restoring the family's relevance in Ijebu Ode, expressing gratitude to the Orisa Ijebu, Kabiyesi Alaiyeluwa Oba (Dr) Sikiru Kayode Adetona GCON, Ogbagba II, the Awujale of Ijebuland.

Dr. Oluwakemi Onanuga, Chairman of the ODU Day Planning Committee and Secretary of the Oduba Descendants Union, expressed her joy in participating in the event. She noted that the first Oduba Thanksgiving Day and the grand unveiling of the memorial plaque in honor of Omo Oba Abraham Oduba has reunited the family.

"Today, I met relatives I haven't seen in years. We are a royal family from the Funsegbuwa Ruling House, entitled to the Awujale throne. I urge all Oduba Descendants, both at home and abroad, to return and unite with us," she said.

Highlight of the event witness the Ogbeni Oja of Ijebuland, The Olor'ogun Dr sonny Folorunsho Kuku who commissioned the Shopping Mall build by the Oduba Descendants.
