Results of the National Examinations Council (NECO) for the 2024 internal examinations have been released.
The registrar and chief executive of NECO, Dantani Wushishi at a press briefing on Thursday, September 19, said this during the release of the 2024 SSCE internal results.
According to Wushishi, the council during the period of the examination blacklisted 21 supervisors in 12 different states.
Highlighting their offence, Wushishi said the supervisors we blacklisted after recommendation and evidence of poor supervision, extortion, negligence, drunkenness, abscondment, aiding and abetting during examinations.
In addition, Wushishi said that a school in Ekiti state was de-recognized for mass cheating among students.
His words, “40 schools were round to have been involved in whole-school mass cheating in 17 states adding that the schools will be invited to the council for discussion after which appropriate sanctions will be applied.”
