LEGAL CASES TO BE COMPUTERISED FOR PROPER DOCUMENTATION SAYS OGUN SOLICITOR-GENERAL




 


All legal cases in Ogun State will be computerised to track stages of each report, to facilitate proper documentation and ensure prompt dispensation of justice.


The Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice, Mr. Olusegun Olaotan, made this known during a meeting with management staff and State Counsel in Abeokuta, charging them to submit on-going cases.


Mr. Olaotan, who advised Law Officers not to leak information, said report of cases must be given as at when due and files on legal advice should be treated without delay, charging them to be punctual, keep good human relations, respectful, dress decently and be of good character.


While appreciating them for their efforts, the Permanent Secretary assured that capacity building of Law Officers would be sustained, just as there would be orientation for new entrants, to enable them understand the essence of discipline.


"There are days that you work from home which are your off-days. This should not be an excuse for you not to take report and ensure off-days do not fall on Mondays and Fridays", he said.


Responding, Assistant Director Public Prosecutions Department, Mr. Kunle Ogunfowodu, appreciated the Permanent Secretary for the advice, appealing to officers to be proactive, dedicated and work in tandem with the vision of the present administration.
