A chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Buba Galadima, has identified Rabiu Kwankwaso as the politician who would have performed better than President Bola Tinubu.
Galadima made this assertion on Channels Television’s “Politics Today” on Friday night, September 27, citing Kwankwaso’s superior capabilities.
Galadima’s endorsement of Kwankwaso comes amidst growing criticism of President Tinubu’s administration. The NNPP chieftain alleged that appointees of the current administration prioritize personal gain over national development. “They are not interested in developing Nigeria, but rather in growing their pockets,” he stated.
To effect change, Galadima stressed the importance of leadership by example. “Mindset is key. Leaders must demonstrate integrity and connect with the grassroots.” He cited the Dangote Skill Acquisition Centre in Kano as a shining example of empowering youth through skills training.
Recall that Kwankwaso served as governor of Kano State from 1999 to 2003 and from 2011 to 2015. He contested the 2023 presidential election and got nearly 1.5 million votes.
