A former Councillor under the Platform of All Progressives Congress, APC Abeokuta South Local Government, Ogun State, Hon. Azeez Sanusi has emerged the candidate for the position of a councillor in ward 10, Ijeun, Iporo Sodeke , area of Ogun State

The son of the Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC in Ogun State was affirmed as the sole candidate after the  primary election held on the 2nd of September 2024 at Nawir-Udeen Primary School, Isale -Ijeun, Abeokuta

One of the aspirants, Adewusi Nofiu before the election stepped down for Hon. Azeez Sanusi.

Our reporter gathered that the twenty six ward executives participated during the primary election.

The former councillor beat other contestant , Hon. Gbade Akintunde with 14 votes while  Hon. Gbade Akintunde won 12 votes.

The ward chairman of the party, Mr Moshood Sodiya while speaking with our correspondent said that the election was free, fair and transparent.

He therefore urged the other contestant to support Hon. Azeez Sanusi as the sole candidate.

After the election the other contestant embraced Hon. Sanusi and congratulated him
