ABIODUN CHARGES ILUSIN INDIGENES ON PEACEFUL, CONDUCIVE ENVIRONMENT

  


Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has charged the people of Ilusin Community to ensure peaceful co- existence and promote brotherliness, as no community can develop in an atmosphere bedevilled with rancour and acrimonies.


Governor Abiodun made this known during the Installation and Presentation of Staff of office to the Onisin of Ilusin, Oba Abimbola Mafe at Ilusin, Ogun Waterside Local Government Area of the state, urging the new monarch to utilise his position to promote conducive environment that would attract more investors into the community and sustain the existing ones, thereby bringing more development.


Represented by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Razak Daddah, Governor Abiodun tasked the new monarch to join hands with government in its ISEYA mantra, while enjoining him to be accessible, receptive and responsive to the yearnings of his subjects.


 He admonished people of Ilusin to support, respect and cooperate with the new monarch, in order to take Ilusin town to an enviable height, saying all hands must be on deck to pave way for speedy development in all sectors of the traditional and socio-economic life of the community.


Speaking at the occasion, Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona, represented by the Ojotumoro of Abigi, Oba Barr. Olusegun Ogunye, congratulated the monarch for the successful coronation, advising him to ensure peaceful co-existence in the land and its environs, and prayed that his reign continue to witness tremendous development and unprecedented progress.


In their separate remarks, Head of Local Government Administration, Ogun Waterside Local Government, Abigi, Alhaji Balogun Akeem, the erstwhile Ilusin Regency Council, Prof. Segun Awonusi, urged the new monarch to see the revered position as a call to serve, describing the installed traditional ruler as the new symbol of unity and progress in the kingdom.


In his acceptance speech, Oba Mafe, who appreciated Governor Abiodun for installing him and the privilege to serve, promised to justify the mandate and trust reposed on him, calling on sons and daughters of Ilusin to support him for the town's progress.
