It was with fanfare that Popular Industrialist and Former Assembly aspirant and local government aspirant Badmos Oladipupo Ibrahim was welcomed to the APC secretariat, Oba Ward 7 in Obafemi-Owode local government of Ogun state when he declared his ambition for the Chairmanship seat of the local government on Friday.

While receiving the aspirant and his entourage, the APC party chairman in the ward area, Hon. Emmanuel Olatoye, aka Baba 5,  said Hon. BADMOS has come to add quality, excellence, and dependability to the Chairmanship race.

Going back to the memory lane, the party Chairman disclosed that Hon. Badmos has, over the years, identified with the yearnings and needs of the people, adding that if he is eventually elected, Oba Ward will witness a rapid development.

In his declaration speech, while addressing the party Leaders and 27 ward excos of the party Honourable Badmos outlined his vision for the development of Obafemi-Owode, promising to revolutionize agriculture, transform the face of governance, and bring about significant improvements in rural and urban centres.

Specifically, he pledged to:

- Implementing innovative agricultural practices* to boost food production and empower local farmers

- Ensuring transparency, accountability, and inclusiveness in governance

- Developing infrastructure and providing access to basic amenities in rural and urban areas

- Provision of health facilities*, job placement, and employment generation

- Women and youth empowerment

"Our local government's agricultural sector is the backbone of our economy, and I am committed to transforming it through economic empowerment. My goal is to revolutionize agriculture in Obafemi-Owode by implementing innovative strategies that enhance productivity, improve efficiency, and increase profitability for farmers and stakeholders alike. This will not only boost our national economy but also ensure food security and sustainability for future generations"

Badmos's declaration has been seen as a significant development in the Obafemi-Owode chairmanship race, and his promises have generated excitement among residents who are eager for positive change.
