The member representing Ijebu Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Olufemi Ogunbanwo, has commenced the installation of solar power to Imoru Road in Ijebu-Ode Local Government, Atan Abattoir and Market, Eruwon Police Station towards Ogidi Junction and Ogede town in Ijebu North East Local Government Area.

Hon. Ogunbanwo, in an interview with newsmen at Ijebu-Ode, stated that the projects would enhance the socio-economic wellbeing of his constituents and reduce criminal activities across the communities.

The House Representatives member disclosed that the projects were under the ‘Light-up Ijebu Project’ initiative, which covers the three local governments in his Constituency, would be in phases, disclosing that the ongoing installation was first phase, while the second phase had been scheduled for September, 2024.

One of the residents of Ogede Town, Mrs. Folashade Taiwo, appreciated Hon. Ogunbanwo for the initiative, noting that the installation of the solar lights was timely and significantly contribute to the socio-economic development in the areas.
