CONTINUE TO BUILD ON YOUR CORE VALUES, HoS URGES PROFESSIONAL BODY

 


The Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria (APBN), Ogun State Chapter has been called upon to continue to build on its core values of integrity, transparency and efficient service delivery as the wealth of experience of the professionals are highly needed at a period that the economy of the State is growing in leaps and bounds by the day.


The Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya made the call while receiving in his office the Executive members of the APBN and its affiliate bodies led by its Chairman, Alhaji Ebun Atinuke, who came on a courtesy visit to the Head of Service.


According to him, Ogun State is growing tremendously based on the strategic planning encapsulated in the 5 pillars of I.S.E.Y.A. that the Governor Dapo Abiodun-led government is running with and the professionals are needed to continually offer professional pieces of advice as the soundness of any policy depends on the quality of advice offered to make it effective.


He emphasized that the present administration is a worker-friendly one as all its policies are geared towards the welfare of the citizens as exemplified in the various intervention programmes and palliatives put in place for the citizenry to cushion the effect of the increase in pump prices, with particular reference to the recent launch of e-bikes and tricycles by the State Government.


He called upon the members as seasoned and consummate administrators, thorough-bred professionals, as well as the movers and shakers of the economy to continue to bring their professionalism to bare and added that with the Body in place, government policies will always be enriched.


The Head of Service noted their contributions to the yearly state budgets, assuring that the State Government will continue to partner with them in terms of policy making, urging them not to shirk in its enlightenment responsibility as well as grooming of the younger generation through the students mentoring projects


"With this kind of Body, government policies will always be enriched. We are lucky to have you because we need you now more than before as Ogun State is growing fast by the day with over 6000 industries. This is because we have a worker-friendly governor whose policies, actions, plans, words and deeds tend towards making life comfortable for the people and I urge you to keep partnering with government for the betterment of the society", Mr. Onasanya said.


He also charged the Body to rise up to the issue of incessant building collapse being witnessed here and there by evolving a monitoring policy teams to swing into action to make their existence felt the more in the housing regard and reassured of government's readiness to partner it in the area of Capacity Building which is sine qua none to the present administration.


Earlier in his submission, the APBN Chairman, Alhaji Ebun Atinuke lauded the government both at the federal and state levels for unprecedented steps taken so far to turn around the economy as well as various intervention programmes to cushion the effects of the fuel subsidy removal.


He also lauded the State government for keying into the aspirations and mindsets of the federal government as well as other measures to keep bettering the lots of the citizens, especially with the recent commissioning of e-bikes and tricycles; and pleaded for more to be done.


The APBN Chairman appreciated the government for past  collaboration in the area of capacity building and solicited for more to be organised for the public servants and laid before the HoS other needs of the Body.
