ABIODUN ASSURES WORKERS OF REGULAR PROMOTION, OTHERS

 


Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has assured Civil Servants in the state of his administration’s commitment to ensure regular promotion, and adequate welfare package, to further enhance their productivity.


          Governor Dapo Abiodun gave the assurance, while speaking at a symposium held in celebration of the 2024 Public Service Week, with the theme, "Building a Socially Responsive Public Service in the 21st Century: The Place of Ethics and Values", at the Obas’ Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, saying contributions of workers would not be taken for granted.


 The Governor stated that government was aware of 2023 and 2024 promotion exercises, noting that a mechanism was in place, as Office of the Head of Service had been engaged to avoid any backlog of promotion exercises.


 "Be rest assured that we cannot afford to neglect the careers of our very energetic and vibrant public servants. Our administration took a significant step towards enhancing the welfare of our public servants by launching the formal sector of the Health Insurance scheme with a 50 percent subsidy.


‘’I have graciously approved the domestication of several resolutions of the National Council of Establishment, including those related to entry qualifications, career progressions, and other establishment matters in the public service," he said.


Abiodun, described Ethics and Values as the guiding principles that shape the actions and decisions upon which trust and credibility were built, saying Public Service was the backbone of his administration.


 The state helmsman commended the Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, for being a committed, dependable and strong ally in the ‘Building Our Future Together’ agenda of his administration, urging workers to remain steadfast in the service of the state.


Earlier in his address, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya applauded Governor Abiodun for approving the payment of 50 percent premium for public servants willing to partake in the health insurance scheme of the state government, charging public servants to reciprocate the gesture by giving their best towards the development of the state as a whole.
