Chairman, Sagamu Local Government (LG), Hon. Jubril Odulate, has enjoined residents to maintain a cleaner environment and ensure proper refuse disposal to curtail flooding, especially during the rainy season.
Hon. Odulate, who stated this while monitoring the weekly market environmental sanitation in the area, emphasised the need for traders to maintain personal and environmental hygiene, to prevent diseases in the community, appreciating the present administration’s prompt response to contain the spread of cholera in the state.
He lauded the present administration's efforts at prioritising infrastructural and socio-economic development across the state, promising to continue to collaborate with the state to ensure a healthy society.
Responding, Iyaloja, Falawo Market, Chief (Mrs). Olasode Oduwaye, commended the government for its prompt intervention at curtailing the spread of cholera, promising strict adherence to personal and environmental hygiene to forestall reoccurrence.
