Ogun State House of Assembly will on Monday, July 22, 2024 begin the mid-year budget performance appraisal of the various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of government in the state, to ascertain their level of compliance with the 2024 Appropriation Law.

A release by the Clerk of the Assembly, Mr. Sakiru Adebakin, indicated that the exercise which was part of the oversight functions of the legislative arm of government in promoting accountability and transparency towards creating value for government resources was carried out in accordance with sections 128 and 129 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).

According to the release, the budget performance assessment would commence at 10:00am daily and end on Tuesday, July 30, 2024

The release enjoined all MDAs to make all relevant documents and information available, to ensure the success of the exercise.
