The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) is set to meet tomorrow to decide on the new minimum wage of N70,000 proposed by the Federal Government.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday announced the new wage through the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris.
Today’s meeting was attended by top labour leaders, including NLC President Joe Ajaero and Trade Union Congress (TUC) President Festus Osifo.
According to a source, the NLC will present the proposal to its members at a National Executive Council (NEC) meeting scheduled for 11 am tomorrow.
The union will then decide whether to accept or reject the government’s offer.
