GOV.ABIODUN LAUDS LG CHAIRMEN ON EXECUTION OF PROJECTS


Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has lauded the efforts of Local Government Chairmen on the massive execution of projects in line with the ‘’Building Our Future Together’’ agenda of the present administration.


The Governor gave the commendation during the commissioning of Ultra-Modern Lock-up shops at Oke-Aje Market, Primary Health Centre at Oke-Oyinbo, 1 block of 4 classrooms with Office at Saint Patrick Primary School, Isiwo and St. Ann's Primary school, Irawo, as well as Abattoir, Odo Eran at Yemule in Ijebu-Ode Local Government Area.


Other projects include, Office Complex at Local Government Secretariat, Itoro, 1 block of 3 classrooms at Moslem Primary School, Isado and a Motorised Borehole at Etitale.


Abiodun said priority of his agenda was to ensure the delivery of dividends of democracy to the residents, particularly at the grassroots, noting that the success of any government usually hinged on the responsiveness to the yearnings of the people.


The Governor, represented by the Chairman Governor's Advisory Council, Chief Oluneye Okuboyejo, appreciated Ijebu-Ode LG Chairman, Hon. Babatunde Emilola-Gazal, for embarking on people-oriented projects.


Earlier, Hon. Emilola-Gazal expressed gratitude to the Governor for his support to local government administration in the state, saying efforts were geared towards actualising the ‘ISEYA’ mantra by providing basic infrastructural amenities to the grassroots.


"In the last three years, we have done about 15 lauded projects, those projects were carefully selected, because of the impact they have on the population. We have renovated and upgraded Oke-Oyinbo Health Center, to Mini General Hospital, while the Abbatoir at Yemule is now wearing a new look. I feel very proud that God has enabled our administration to do this projects and delivered the dividends of democracy to the people in Ijebu-Ode", Gazal said.


In their separate remarks, Lamodi of Isiwo, Oba Engr. Adedoyin Salisu and High Chief Samuel Ajayi, Baale Irawo appreciated the Governor for the provision of infrastructural development across the state, as well as the unwavering support to local government Chairmen, saying the projects would have positive impact on the communities.
