Gov. Abiodun Commissions Landmark Projects in Ijebu North Local Government



Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has commissioned Open stalls at Atikori/Ojowo market, motorised borehole at Oke-Jaga/Oke-Sopin community, as well as Renovation of block of three  classrooms with an office and store at Moslem Primary School, Oke-Sopin, Ijebu Igbo in Ijebu North Local Government Area.


Other Projects commissioned are Construction of 600 seaters Multi-purpose Hall(phase1) at the Local Government Secretariat, Construction of Garri/Grocery hall at Atikori market, Rehabilitation of block of 2 Classrooms at  Saint Matthew's school 1 ojowo, Rehabilitation of a block of 3 classrooms at Moslem Primary school, Oke-Sopen, Rehabilitation of Aba Panu primary health centre, Ago-Iwoye, Rehabilitation of Tekule Primary health center, Ajegunle, Rehabilitation of Agunboye/ Asigidi Primary health center and 12 Deep well projects across 11 wards.



Speaking at the event, Governor Abiodun said commissioning of the projects was part of his determination to deliver dividends of democracy to the people at the Grassroots.




The Governor, represented by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Rasak Daddah, said the Chairman of the council, Hon. Bolaji Oluwaseun Odusanya, has embarked on Legacy Projects, stressing that the success of any government was usually hinged on the responsiveness to the yearnings of the people.



" Permit me to call you Mr Project, our chairman. You have done creditably well with all the Projects Embarked upon. You have demonstrated to be part of the Building our Future together agenda. I can see your people are happy with you, especially with the way you have Govern the Council Area. Keep it up." He said.




Speaking, Chairman of Ijebu North Local Government, Hon. Mobolaji Odusanya expressed gratitude to the Governor for supporting Local Government administration in the state, saying efforts were geared towards actualizing the ‘ISEYA’ mantra by providing basic infrastructural amenities to the grassroots.


" What we did was to make sure our people enjoy the dividend of democracy by providing them the Necessary infrastructure. We touch the Health sector, Education sector, Roads, youth Empowerment, the markets so as to improve the Socio-Economic activities of our Council Area.


The new open stalls at Atikori market would enhance economic sustainability, thereby increasing the internally generated revenue of the area, urging beneficiaries to complement government strides by utilising the facilities judiciously." The council Boss Said.




In there separate Remarks, the Former Chairman, Ijebu North Local Government, Hon. Olaide Osifeso and Hon. Gbenga Nuberu  appreciated the Governor for the provision of infrastructural development across the state, as well as the unwavering support to local government chairmen, saying the projects would positively impact the communities.



Dignitaries at the commissioning include, Senator Lekan Mustapha, Commissioner for Ministry of Community development and Cooperative, Hon. Ademola Balogun; Permanent Secretary,  Local Government Service Commission Engr. (Mrs) Olanike Ogunbona , The Olokine of Ojowo, Oba Abdulrasheed Abayomi Banjo, Director of Local Government Affairs, Mr. Olusegun Ibirinde, among others.


Highlights of the event witness giving letter of Commendation to Various Youth council across the Local Government for there contribution towards development of the Council Area by the Executive Chairman of Ijebu North Local Government, Hon. Bolaji Oluwaseun Odusanya.
